This procedure can reduce or increase the size of the nose, change the shape of the tip, and also change bulges on the bridge of the nose. Considering the size and shape of the face in relation to the nose; the degree of protrusion or retrusion of the frontal and mental regions; the nasoglabellar and nasolabial angles; the dorsum-tip relationship; the thickness of the nostril wing; the nose-lip angle and the positioning of the septum.

A cleansing procedure is necessary one to two weeks before the surgical procedure. To remove blackheads common in this region. Peelings and moisturizing treatments can be performed.

Smokers, it would be a good idea to stop smoking for at least four weeks before and after surgery. Smoking interferes with good oxygenation of the tissues and hinders healing.
