MINIABDOMINOPLASTY
Pre-Op
It involves removing a small amount of excess skin located in the infraumbilical region. The incision is usually smaller than that of an abdominoplasty; the navel is preserved and is only slightly pulled downwards. This surgery is recommended for minor sagging. It is usually combined with liposuction.
Physiotherapy is a co-participant in any surgical procedure. In the pre-operative period, the patient will be evaluated, guided and prepared for surgery, according to their current limitations and the surgical procedure they will undergo.
In the preoperative period of mini abdominoplasty, it is recommended to perform functional training of the abdominal muscles, respiratory strengthening and improving muscle tone with the use of electrotherapy and improving skin texture with hydration, drainage and facial releases.
Quit smoking 30 days in advance
Post Op
In the postoperative period of miniabdominoplasty:
The main feature is the care of the suprapubic scar and irregularities in the case of associated liposuction.
* The patient is allowed to move freely, taking care only to maintain a supine position for 15 days, with support on the legs, in order to avoid total traction on the abdomen.
* Start care on the third or fourth day after surgery, counting the day of surgery.
* The patient will be evaluated and documented on the first day of care and will have their physiotherapy diagnosis according to this day.
* 10 to 15 sessions are recommended over a period of 3 to 5 weeks, however this number varies according to the physiotherapy assessment on the first day and the patient's day-to-day progress.
* Respiratory physiotherapy is part of the treatment and begins on the first day of treatment.
* Guidance and demonstrations of positions, postures and movements are essential for the patient and companions.
* Care with dressings and cleaning them when necessary and at the doctor's request.
* Manual lymphatic drainage in all sessions. We have mastered several techniques (Leduc - Godoy - Vodder) with international training, and we carry out constant training with the team in order to maintain the quality and perfection of the service.
* Electrotherapy usually begins 7 to 10 days after surgery, depending on the physiotherapeutic evaluation and the patient's healing needs at the time of treatment, seen every day from the beginning of their rehabilitation. We provide several resources for use: laser, ultrasound, endermo, high frequency ozone, carboxy, radiofrequency.
*Personalized application of Estela Carraro modeling for each patient. Patented towel bandage method.
