AGING
Facial Aging: Understanding and Treating the Process
Aging is a slow, progressive, and irreversible process influenced by multiple factors. Intrinsic aging, also known as true or chronological aging, and extrinsic aging, referred to as photoaging, can both lead to visible signs such as fine wrinkles, often noticeable from the age of 30.
Facial aging treatment can be approached primarily through:
-
Maintaining the skin barrier with proper cleansing and hydration;
-
Photoprotection (sun protection);
-
Neutralizing free radicals;
-
Stimulating collagen and elastin synthesis in the dermis;
-
Reducing collagen glycation.
