VASCULAR

Vascular physiotherapy has the primary function of preventing diseases that affect the peripheral vascular system, aiming to avoid, treat, or delay the need for surgery.

This type of physiotherapy is indicated for the treatment of conditions such as venous ulcers and situations like venous edema, lymphedema, pain from scar adhesions, and postoperative care for varicose veins. Other indications may include alleviating symptoms related to vascular problems, such as intermittent claudication, and addressing sequelae of established conditions, such as pre-diabetes and burn injuries.

The techniques used include: manual lymphatic drainage, kinesitherapy, thermotherapy, compression bandaging, and electrotherapy. The guidance provided to patients is also essential.
