Brazilian Butt Lift
Pre-Op
Gluteal augmentation can be performed through lipofilling, which involves removing the patient's own fat cells, treating them, and injecting them into the gluteal area. This fat can also be used to fill the intimate region of the labia majora, the facial area known as the "nasolabial folds," or to enhance the lips or other areas that may require fat. A significant number of fat cells are necessary for these procedures, as surgeons typically use a larger amount, knowing that part of it will be lost during the healing process. In the case of smokers, studies show that the fat loss is greater, or even total.
Another way to increase the gluteal volume is through silicone gluteal implants, which are placed bilaterally through an incision (cut) in the gluteal fold.
For the preoperative period of both procedures, studies recommend stopping smoking at least 30 days before surgery. It is also recommended to prepare the gluteal muscles 3 months in advance, including lower limb stretches and posture exercises.
For optimal skin toning in the gluteal area, we suggest radiofrequency, moisturization, and exfoliation.
Another tip is to shave the area before surgery.
Postoperative
In the postoperative period of gluteal augmentation:
* The main feature of gluteal prosthesis is the care taken with the intra-gluteal incision. And in fat grafting in the gluteus, the care is taken with positioning.
* When the gluteal prosthesis is placed, the patient should sleep in a prone position (face down) and avoid squatting movements. When the fat graft is performed, avoid pressure on the site.
* Start care on the third or fourth day after surgery, counting the day of surgery.
* The patient will be evaluated and documented on the first day of care and will have their physiotherapy diagnosis according to this day.
* 5 to 10 sessions are recommended over a period of 2 to 4 weeks, however this number varies according to the physiotherapy assessment on the first day and the patient's day-to-day progress.
* Respiratory physiotherapy is part of the treatment and begins on the first day of treatment.
* Guidance and demonstrations of positions, postures and movements are essential for the patient and companions.
* Care with dressings and cleaning them when necessary and at the doctor's request.
* Manual lymphatic drainage in all sessions. We have mastered several techniques (Leduc - Godoy - Vodder) with international training, and we carry out constant training with the team in order to maintain the quality and perfection of the service.
* Use of shapewear for 30 to 60 days, depending on scar development.
* Application of kinesio taping to reduce edema and stabilize the glutes.
